This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use, store, share, and safeguard it, and the rights available to you in respect of your personal data. This Policy is framed with reference to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection
Rules, 2025 (together, the DPDP Act), the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made there under, and, to the extent relevant to our cross-border operations, internationally recognised
privacy principles such as purpose limitation, data minimisation, transparency, and accountability. By accessing our website, submitting your resume or CV, registering as a candidate, or otherwise
engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not
agree with any part of this Policy, please refrain from using our website or services.

1. Definitions

(a) Personal Data means any data about an individual who is identifiable by or in relation to
such data.
(b) Data Fiduciary means Global Hire International, which determines the purpose and means of
processing personal data.
(c) Data Principal means the individual to whom the personal data relates.
(d)Processing means the entire cycle of operations performed on personal data, including its
collection, storage, use, sharing, and erasure.
(e) Consent& means the free, specific, informed, unconditional, and unambiguous indication of a
Data Principal& agreement to the processing of their personal data for a specified purpose.
(f) Grievance Officer  means the individual appointed by us to address the grievances of Data

Identity and contact information: full name, date of birth, gender, nationality, residential
address, email address, mobile/telephone number, and photograph
• Professional information: resume/CV, educational qualifications, work experience, certifications,
professional references, and salary expectations
• Identity and travel documents relevant to overseas placement: passport details, visa status, and
national identity numbers such as PAN or Aadhaar, where voluntarily furnished and permitted
by law
• Financial information: bank account details for salary or fee processing, where applicable
• Health and medical information: only where required for a specific overseas job assignment,
such as pre-employment medical fitness certificates, and only with your explicit, separate
consent
• Background verification information: information obtained during reference and background
checks, conducted with your consent
• Communications: correspondence, feedback, and any other information you choose to share
when contacting us

3.2 Information From Employer Clients

Company name, business contact details, hiring requirements, and job specifications provided by our
employer clients for the purpose of sourcing and evaluating candidates.

3.3 Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, we may automatically collect technical information including your IP
address, browser type and version, device type and operating system, pages visited, time and duration
of visit, and referring website, using cookies and similar tracking technologies. See Section 8 below.

4. Purposes of Processing

We process personal data for the following purposes:

• Candidate registration, screening, shortlisting, and matching with suitable job opportunities
• Communicating with candidates and employer clients regarding recruitment status, interviews,
and offers
• Conducting background verification and reference checks, with consent
• Facilitating overseas employment placement, including assistance with visa, work permit, and
emigration clearance processes, in accordance with the Emigration Act, 1983 and directions
issued by the Protector General of Emigrants, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India
• Processing payments, invoices, and applicable service fees

relevant, destination-country labour and immigration law

consented or as otherwise permitted by law, with an option to opt out at any time

 

5. Lawful Basis for Processing

We process personal data on one or more of the following bases recognised under the DPDP Act: (a)
your free, specific, and informed consent; (b) processing that is necessary for the performance of a
contract to which you are a party, such as providing the recruitment services you have requested; (c)
compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject; and (d) certain legitimate uses recognised
under the DPDP Act, including circumstances where you voluntarily provide your personal data to us for
a specified purpose, such as submitting your CV for job placement.

6. Consent and Its Withdrawal

Where we rely on your consent, we will seek it through a clear notice specifying the personal data to be
collected and the purpose of processing, presented in English or, where feasible, a language of your
choice. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us using the contact details in Section
13. Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before
withdrawal, and may affect our ability to continue providing certain services to you.

data on our behalf and are contractually bound to maintain its confidentiality and security
• Professional advisors, including legal and accounting consultants, where necessary

other applicable law, and that the receiving party maintains a standard of protection consistent with this

10. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this
Policy, including to comply with our legal, accounting, or regulatory obligations, or to consider you for
suitable future opportunities. Candidate information may be retained in our database for potential
future roles unless you request its deletion. You may request erasure of your personal data at any time,
subject to Section 13 below and our legal retention obligations.

11. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational security safeguards, including access controls,
encryption of data in transit, and restricted employee access on a need-to-know basis, designed to
protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no
method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute
security of information transmitted to us.
